THE3 Meisama Omega Complete Drama + Movie Blu-ray Set

The legendary trio returns to its family restaurant as THE3 Meisama Omega. The series’ first continuing television drama and its first film in two years are brought together in one release.

Based on Makochin Ishihara’s manga, THE3 Meisama began as a live-action series in 2005. Its laid-back situation comedy follows three part-time workers, played by Ryuta Sato, Yoshinori Okada and Takashi Tsukamoto, as they do little more than talk endlessly at a family restaurant. In 2022, Remote Dake ja Muri ja ne? revived the series after twelve years and became an unexpected theatrical hit. Now the restaurant reopens as Omega, expanding the project with its first continuing drama and another feature film.

The drama introduces guest performers for the first time in the series. The film brings in Sho Sakurai as the masked man behind what may be THE3 Meisama’s biggest incident yet, with Kami Hiraiwa as his wife Hibari. All the new drama and film episodes are included.

In the film, Mickey, Mattsun and Jumbo gather at their familiar restaurant late at night. Their usual easygoing conversation is interrupted when a sudden flash crosses the sky. An unwelcome visitor then threatens the peace of their beloved restaurant. Can these three save it from danger? An unprecedentedly long night in THE3 Meisama history is about to begin.

The supplementary material goes behind the scenes of both the drama and the film, explores the film’s fashions and includes the opening-day stage greeting. Blu-ray-exclusive material adds the drama’s completion announcement, the film’s premiere greeting and a close look at the nationwide promotional tour, which covered thirteen locations and twenty-five stage appearances. Together with trailers and commercials for both productions, the set records the Omega Project 2024 as a commemorative release for its fans.
