THIS AND THAT brings together recent exhibition and commissioned artwork by Katsuya Terada, marking 42 years of his career as an illustrator and manga artist. The collection also looks closely at the materials he uses every day, from pencils and ballpoint pens to the iPad.
Terada's own comments accompany those tools, exploring their place in a practice that combines traditional drawing materials with new devices. His reflections consider how equipment can open up possibilities for an artist's individual expression. Published by PIE International, this Japanese-language collection contains 232 pages.
