Tomodachi Game TV Series

Which matters more: money or friendship? This dark psychological mystery brings the hit manga, which had surpassed 4.4 million copies at the time of release, to live-action television. Extreme situations force its characters to face an unsettling choice, in a story where betrayal constantly changes the balance and viewers are invited to question every motive.

To repay an enormous debt suddenly placed on his shoulders, second-year high-school student Yuichi Katagiri is abducted with four friends and drawn into the mysterious Tomodachi Game. Their guide, Manabu-kun, claims that anyone with true friendship should be able to clear it easily. Once play begins, however, a traitor emerges. Suspicion takes hold among people who believed their bond was unbreakable, and their friendship starts to collapse.

Who is betraying them? Unable to trust one another, can the five clear the game and repay the debt? Advancing through the challenges is their only route to safety, yet friendship proves alarmingly fragile. Yuichi sets a trap to expose the traitor. As hidden secrets and dark intentions collide, his own past and true nature begin to surface. The questions deepen: who created this game, and for what purpose? Rapid psychological battles and repeated reversals reveal what each participant really values when money is weighed against friendship.

The complete series is accompanied by making-of footage, the production announcement press conference, Tomodachi Game R4 Real and promotional spots. A booklet is included.
