Tonari no Stella Deluxe Blu-ray

Chiaki and Subaru have grown up in neighboring houses and have always been each other's closest companions. When Subaru is scouted by the entertainment industry and becomes a sought-after young model, their familiar relationship changes. He still treats Chiaki as he always has, but she becomes painfully aware of the distance between a celebrity and an ordinary student, even as the feelings she has carried since childhood grow stronger.

Chiaki finally tells Subaru that she loves him, only to hear that he sees her as a childhood friend. The two, who once spent time together almost every day, begin to drift apart. Determined to move forward, Chiaki starts a part-time job and grows closer to her older colleague Takahashi. As her hurt slowly eases, Subaru moves from modeling into television drama and continues his rise toward stardom.

Riko Fukumoto and Yusei Yagi star in this adaptation of Ammitsu's manga, directed by Hana Matsumoto. The cast also includes Yuki Kura, Mayu Yokota, Sho Nishigaki, Ririka Tanabe, Misa Shimizu, Tomu Miyazaki, Mahiru Konno, Maho Nonami and Kenta Hamano. FANTASTICS perform the theme song Always Next to You.

The deluxe edition contains two Blu-rays. The feature disc includes the 108-minute film and 15 minutes of trailers, television commercials and character movies focusing separately on Chiaki and Subaru. The bonus disc adds approximately 90 minutes of making-of material and event footage from the completion screening, a teen screening with a talk event, opening-day stage greetings and a post-release thank-you event.

The feature has Japanese DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and stereo tracks, Japanese stereo audio description and Japanese accessibility subtitles. The bonus disc has Japanese DTS-HD Master Audio stereo with no subtitles. A booklet and four instant-photo-style cards accompany the discs in a digipak and three-sided outer case.
