True Beauty Before / After Blu-ray Set

Koki stars as Reina Tanikawa in this two-film Japanese adaptation of yaongyi's webcomic True Beauty. Bullied for her appearance, Reina withdraws from school until discovering makeup gives her a way to start again. She teaches herself the techniques from scratch and transforms her image, arriving at a new school determined to build the perfect life.

Her fresh start becomes complicated when Shun Kanda, a cool and enigmatic classmate with the best grades in their year, discovers the secret behind her transformation. Keeping that secret puts Reina in an unexpected position, while her growing closeness to Shun attracts the attention of another classmate, Yu Igarashi. Shun and Yu share a troubled past, and Reina finds herself caught between them as her carefully constructed new life begins to change.

The set pairs Before, the high-school debut chapter, with After, the proposal chapter. Keisuke Watanabe and Keito Tsuna star alongside Koki, joined across the films by Yuka Sugai, Karen Miyama, Amu Fukao, Rei Maruyama, Takato Okura, Mako Ishino, Tomu Miyazaki, Emi Suzuki, Kenjiro Tsuda and Jiro Sato. Kazunari Hoshino directs from Sumire Suzuki's screenplay. Kucci provides the theme song 'Tokimeki', while Tsuna performs the featured song 'Tokubetsu Nante' as Yu Igarashi.

The two feature discs contain approximately 202 minutes of story in total. The bonus disc includes a special behind-the-scenes making-of programme, a collection of events leading up to the films' releases, and the complete Korea-set late-night love-talk and private boys' gathering programmes. Its additional video collection contains the 'Tokubetsu Nante' music video, making-of footage for 'Tokubetsu Nante' and 'Unmei da yo na', the special stage at Mynavi TGC 2025 Spring/Summer and the special live performance at TGC Kagawa 2025. A special photo book accompanies the three-disc set. Japanese Linear PCM stereo and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 audio are specified for the edition, with accessible Japanese subtitles on the main films.
