Undead Girl Murder Farce Blu-ray Box

The monster detectives known as the Cage User travel through Europe in a farce to recover a stolen body. Vampires, werewolves, master thief Arsène Lupin, Sherlock Holmes and Jack the Ripper enter a mystery-filled journey marked by extraordinary battles. The popular fair-play mystery series by Yugo Aosaki, winner of the twenty-second Tetsuya Ayukawa Award, becomes a television anime featuring Tomoyo Kurosawa, Taku Yashiro and an ensemble voice cast.

At the end of the nineteenth century, vampires, artificial humans, werewolves and other strange beings still inhabit the world. Aya Rindo is a beautiful, ageless and immortal detective with no body below her neck. Accompanied by Tsugaru Shinuchi, a half-human, half-oni fighter known as the Oni Slayer, and her faithful maid Shizuku Hasei, she travels across Europe. As the monster specialists called the Cage User, the trio solve one strange case after another while searching for Aya’s stolen body.

This box brings together all thirteen episodes with a sleeve case newly illustrated by Lapin Track and a special booklet. Cast audio commentary accompanies the programme. Video extras include advance-screening stage-greeting footage featuring Tomoyo Kurosawa, Taku Yashiro and Makoto Koichi, with previously unreleased material, plus creditless opening and ending sequences.
