Urusei Yatsura Anime

But, after all, I still love my darling.

Everything began when Ataru Moroboshi, the most dangerous high-school boy on Earth, met Lum, the beautiful oni girl who descended from outer space! Urusei Yatsura is the striking debut work of Rumiko Takahashi, who remains at the forefront of manga today. To celebrate Shogakukan’s hundredth anniversary, selected episodes from the original manga have been adapted into a television anime spanning four cours.

Directors Hideya Takahashi and Yasuhiro Kimura previously worked on JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind. Series composition is by Yuko Kakihara of Cells at Work!, with character designs by Naoyuki Asano of Mr. Osomatsu and Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! Animation is produced by david production, the studio behind the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series and Fire Force. Hiroshi Kamiya and Sumire Uesaka play the remarkable central couple: Ataru Moroboshi, known as Darling, and Lum.

Fearless, wholehearted in love and yet somehow bittersweet, Ataru and Lum’s boy-meets-girl story becomes a romantic comedy enlivened by characters gathered from across the galaxy. In an age when saying “I love you” while looking someone in the eye is difficult, this is a story to share. Gorgeous, tough and crazy: their youth races on!

Blu-ray Disc Box 4 contains episodes 36–46. This is the final episode allocation announced by the production team.

Limited-production edition extras: A special box with new illustrations by character designer Naoyuki Asano. Video of the event celebrating the second season’s Blu-ray Disc and DVD Box release. Creditless opening and ending films, web previews, promotional videos and commercials, among other video extras. A special booklet. Tomobiki Town Newspaper. A magazine-style booklet. Audio commentaries for episodes 43–46, featuring Hideya Takahashi, Yasuhiro Kimura, Takahiro Kamei, Hiroshi Kamiya and Sumire Uesaka. A large holographic sticker featuring the jacket illustration.

Edition and extras may change.
