Uta no Prince-sama Animation

Celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Uta no Prince-sama Maji LOVE anime with the series’ first Blu-ray box, bringing together the first season, Maji LOVE 1000%. Based on the popular games, the franchise had sold more than five million related CDs when the anime reached its tenth anniversary in July 2021; its 2019 feature film had drawn more than 1.18 million viewers and earned over 1.8 billion yen. This collection returns to ST RISH’s student days and the story of the group’s formation, including the Maji LOVE 1000% performance that created such a sensation. Maki Fujioka supplies a new jacket illustration created especially for the box, while the ST RISH cast reunite for newly recorded audio commentaries.

Inspired by superstar idol HAYATO, aspiring composer Haruka Nanami achieves her dream of entering the composition course at Saotome Academy, a performing-arts school with two hundred applicants for every place. There she must choose a partner from the idol course and work towards passing Shining Agency’s new-talent audition at graduation. Before her stand six dazzling princes, each dreaming of becoming an idol. With teachers who are working idols themselves and an outrageous headmaster adding to the confusion, school life is a constant whirlwind of surprises. Who will become Haruka’s partner? Music more wonderful than a kiss sets the stage for a heart-racing romantic comedy about youth.

Alongside all thirteen episodes, the collection includes a premium-screening talk digest, creditless Orphe and episode-one Maji LOVE 1000% videos, a selection of previews and commercials, the Maji LOVE 1000% and Idol Songs Special Edition, a dance-choreography video and all six parts of Quiz no Prince-sama? The newly recorded commentaries cover episodes two through eight. The accompanying music brings together the complete forty-seven-track original soundtrack and a further selection featuring the special idol-song medley, Seiten OHA YAHHO, Maigo no Kokoro, the piano version of Maji LOVE 1000%, the a cappella Mirai Chizu and the 2012 mix of Maji LOVE 1000%.
