Vampire Hunter D Complete Illustrations - Yoshitaka Amano
吸血鬼ハンターD 全挿絵集
Vampire Hunter D Complete Illustrations gathers all three hundred forty Yoshitaka Amano illustrations from a forty-three-year association with the novels, including work not previously collected in a book. The sequence extends from 1983 to volume forty-four, which marks the conclusion of Amano's illustration run.
Three sections cover 1983-1997, 1999-2011 and 2012-2026. Amano reflects on his first encounter with the series, its continuing place in his work and the possibilities of illustration in the later years. Original author Hideyuki Kikuchi contributes commentary on the artwork.
The B5 format presents the drawings at a larger size than the paperback novels. Published by Asahi Shimbun Publications, this Japanese-language collection contains 200 pages.
