若者のすべて Blu-ray BOX
First broadcast in 1994, this hit drama about the struggles of young adulthood makes its Blu-ray debut ahead of its thirtieth anniversary. Set in a corner of the Keihin district, it follows young people trying to keep moving forward despite their worries, pain and uncertainty.
They once stood together at the same bus stop, waiting for the same bus in the same morning mist during their high-school days. Each has since followed a different dream and taken a different path, only to run up against the barriers of society. In a town darkened by factory smoke, the hopes and hurts of being twenty-two intersect with despair, betrayal and separation.
They expose the frustration, hatred and anger that others keep hidden. Are they living only to be hurt, or being hurt in order to live? Without an answer, they throw themselves into the present, revealing the intensity and passion of their lives.
They do not know why they are called delinquents, or what being a delinquent means. But if it means being free of society’s constraints, perhaps that is enough. There must be something they can see and grasp that will never become visible if they simply disappear into the established order.
