Who Saw the Peacock Dance in the Jungle? draws university student Komugi Yamashita into two crimes separated by 22 years. Suzu Hirose stars as Komugi, whose quiet Christmas Eve meal with her father Haruo becomes their last ordinary moment together. Returning home later that night, she finds their house burning and learns that he has died.

The police quickly arrest Tomoya Endo, the son of a man Haruo arrested for the murder of a wealthy family more than two decades earlier. Komugi has barely begun to understand her father's involvement in the old case when the owner of their familiar ramen stall gives her a letter Haruo left behind. It names several people, including Tomoya, and declares that any accusation against them would be a wrongful one.

Kenichi Matsuyama plays the lawyer who helps Komugi pursue the truth, while Lily Franky portrays Haruo. Ryo Narita, Win Morisaki, Kumi Takiuchi, Yu Saito, Soichi Itose, Kota Nomura, Asahi Seino, Toshiya Sakai, Takahiro Fujimoto, Naomi Nishida, Atsuko Sendo, Yoshi Sako, Hiroyuki Mamiya and Hayato Isomura complete the ensemble. Based on Rito Asami's manga, the series explores a daughter's trust in her father and the consequences of guilt that remains unseen. Ado performs the theme song Elf.

This four-disc box contains all ten episodes across three Blu-rays, with a fourth disc devoted to supplementary footage. The extras include a making-of film, interviews with Hirose and Matsuyama, a special conversation between Hirose and Lily Franky, and a recording of the premiere event. An unscripted behind-the-scenes feature follows the filming of the culprit reveal, alongside cast wrap-up footage and promotional spots.

A 24-page booklet and a B6 reproduction of Haruo's letter accompany the set. The episodes run for approximately 447 minutes, with another 132 minutes of supplementary footage. Japanese Linear PCM 2.0 stereo audio is provided, and Japanese subtitles accompany the main episodes.
