Wild 7 Illustrations 2nd gathers Mikiya Mochizuki's colour artwork omitted from the first collection, reaching from the series' original 1969-1979 run to its later continuations. Rare early illustrations are restored from surviving printed material where the original drawings can no longer be located.
The selection also brings together work created beyond the manga pages, including model-kit box illustrations, sleeves for records of the television drama's theme songs, and model-gun advertising artwork. These rarely collected images show how Mochizuki's action imagery carried into other formats.
Later material includes sequel illustrations, Rose Cinq and the full-colour W7, with surviving original artwork used for these reproductions. Publication-source information at the end identifies where the illustrations first appeared.
This Japanese-language A4 softcover contains 104 pages, comprising 72 colour pages and 32 monochrome pages.
