Wingman 2024 Standard Edition Blu-ray brings Masakazu Katsura's superhero manga into live action, with Maito Fujioka as Kenta Hirono and Konatsu Kato as Aoi. Koichi Sakamoto directs the series and its action, while Katsura supervises the adaptation of the Weekly Shonen Jump story.
Kenta has dreamed of becoming a hero since childhood. Captivated by television tokusatsu, he makes his own costume, practises poses and special moves, and has no hesitation in confronting people who break the rules. His imagination becomes something much more dangerous when he meets Aoi, a girl who has escaped the forces seeking to control the other-dimensional world of Podrims.
In Aoi's Dream Note, Kenta draws the hero he has invented: Wingman. Suddenly he can transform into that very creation. As assassins cross into his world in pursuit of Aoi, the boy who once only played at heroism must decide whether he can carry its responsibilities for real.
The standard edition presents all ten episodes across two region-free Blu-rays, running approximately 234 minutes in 16:9 Full HD. Japanese Linear PCM stereo audio and Japanese subtitles accompany the series. Episodes 1 and 10 also feature a separate Linear PCM stereo commentary track.
