Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition Original Soundtrack revisits Shulk and his companions' journey through 99 musical memories. The five-CD set contains the music used in the Nintendo Switch game released on May 29, 2020, including the Future Connected epilogue.
The collection includes 54 pieces newly arranged for Definitive Edition and eight new Future Connected tracks, making 62 new or newly arranged recordings within the 99-track program. The sequence follows the story so that the journey can be experienced again through music. Pieces without a Definitive Edition version retain their original recordings.
Yoko Shimomura, who composed the main theme and other pieces, joins Yasunori Mitsuda, whose ending song is sung by Sarah Alainn, and returning contributors ACE, comprising Tomori Kudo and CHiCO, Kenji Hiramatsu and Manami Kiyota. These creators also handle the new arrangements and Future Connected music, bringing the beginning of the Xenoblade series to life once more.
