Popular young television announcer Kei Kunieda has two sharply contrasting sides. In public he is so flawless that people call him a prince; in private, his caustic inner voice habitually dismisses others as fools. Naturally, he keeps that side of himself a secret.
One day, while off duty, Kei runs into animator Ushio Tsuzuki, whom he previously met through an interview. Fortunately, Ushio does not recognise the man in the worn-out tracksuit and face mask as the famous Kei Kunieda. But when Ushio is injured, Kei finds himself helping with the animator's work for a while.
