The superband Seatbelts arrives on Earth while touring across space and time. With this playful premise, Yoko Kanno and her band present the first best-of collection selected by Kanno herself.
Drawing on Cowboy Bebop, Macross Frontier, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, The Vision of Escaflowne, Turn A Gundam and Macross Plus, the collection brings together familiar favourites and unexpected rarities. Its extraordinary musical universe spans grand orchestral classical music, funk, brass rock, deeply soulful blues, techno, rock and eccentric space pop. Kanno’s own selection also uncovers obscure and rare pieces that make this collection especially distinctive.
