As the coronavirus pandemic cast a shadow over the world in 2020, Yu Takahashi was forced to cancel his LIVE TOUR 2019–2020 free style stroke partway through. In a difficult year for everyone, he reached the tenth anniversary of his major debut on July 21.

Created with renewed determination, this seventh album pursues new musical possibilities with a range of collaborators. One stroke marks his first collaboration with producer Koichi Tsutaya. Longtime members of Takahashi’s band also contributed arrangements, bringing the enjoyment of making music together to an album that embraces fresh challenges. Its release offered a welcome positive moment in 2020.
