Akiba Maid War Animation

On moe and violence.

After attracting widespread attention when broadcasting began in October 2022, Akiba Maid War arrives on Blu-ray. This original television anime follows the hardworking maids of the Tontokoton cafe in the Akihabara of 1999.

Spring, 1999. A girl arrives in Akihabara, dreaming of becoming a cute maid. At the end of the twentieth century, Akiba is packed with maids of every kind.

The Tontokoton maid cafe, otherwise known as the Pigsty, is open for another day of oinking business. The other new maid joining at the same time is wildly unconventional, and the workplace soon becomes a whirlwind of chaos.

Favourite maids, trainers and life forms from beyond Akihabara make their appearances, while a red baseball bat swings at full force!

This wholehearted tale of maids struggling through their working lives is dedicated to every master and mistress. “We look forward to welcoming you home, oink!”

The edition features a slipcase and inner jacket with newly drawn illustrations, a special booklet and a bonus CD of insert songs and an ending theme. Video extras include the creditless ending sequence and a collection of web previews.
