Ascendance of a Bookworm — Apprentice Shrine Maiden II: The Beginning of Winter to the Blessing — Blu-ray Box

The third season opens a turning point in this bibliographic fantasy for book lovers! With more than 5.5 million copies in circulation at the time of the original release announcement, this landmark fantasy anime begins its next chapter.

Story Toward a world where everyone can read books! Now a blue-robed apprentice shrine maiden, Myne has created a children's scripture picture book together with Lutz, Tuuli and the children of the orphanage. Her passion for books only grows. She bestows the title of Gutenberg on Johann and Heidi and sets her sights on her next goal: printing with movable type. But dark clouds gather over her path. Nobles who see a use for Myne's immense mana and unusual knowledge, and nobles who bear a grudge against her, are secretly targeting her. What will become of Myne's bookmaking and her future?

Included contents The complete third season, Chapters 27–36, corresponding to Season 3 Episodes 1–10, discs. Video extras include broadcast promotional videos, promotional videos, character promotional videos, creditless opening and ending sequences, commercials, and recap programmes 1 and 2. Japanese cast audio commentaries cover Chapters 27, 31, 34 and 36, corresponding to Season 3 Episodes 1, 5, 8 and 10. The Chapter 27 commentary features Yuka Iguchi, Show Hayami, Tsuyoshi Koyama and Fumiko Orikasa; the Chapter 31 commentary features Yuka Iguchi, Kazuhiko Inoue and Mutsumi Tamura.

The box uses a three-sided slipcase with a newly drawn original illustration by Yu Shiina, and a digipak featuring the anime key visual. The special booklet contains a message from original author Miya Kazuki, production staff interviews, episode guides, principal character settings and art settings. The original announcement listed the booklet page count as provisional.

A newly recorded drama CD, Things We Can Talk About Now, is included. A separate CD contains the third season's original soundtrack.

The publisher's booklet correction notice concerns the character introductions for Viscount Gerlach, Viscountess Dahldolf and Baron Blon. These characters are nobles of Ehrenfest; the booklet incorrectly describes them as nobles of Ahrensbach. The publisher apologises to purchasers and states that it will work to prevent such errors.

The regular edition contents above are included with this box. The TO Books store's separately advertised exclusive gifts, an ending-card postcard set and a special short-story booklet containing Instinct and an Amulet from Sylvester's perspective, are retailer purchase benefits and are not included with this listing.
