Bungo and Alchemist Stage & Musicals

The fourth stage adaptation of Bungo and Alchemist, the PC-browser and mobile game distributed by DMM GAMES. Shusei Tokuda and others join the writers as a new battle to protect literature begins.

Bungo and Alchemist is a simulation game about reincarnated literary authors, distributed by DMM GAMES. Before literature can be stolen from people's memories, players work with these writers to protect literary books from enemies called the Encroachers.

The first stage production was performed in February 2019. Bungo and Alchemist: Hinekuremono no Aria is the fourth entry in the stage series. Yuusei Naruse writes the script, Kotaro Yoshitani directs, and the production uses music from the game composed by Hideki Sakamoto of Noisycroak. As with the game, Jiro Ishii supervises the world setting.

The great writers have been reincarnated into this world to protect literary works. The members of the Ozaki school miraculously reunite, and as everyone is immersed in nostalgia, Shusei Tokuda, played by Ryotaro Akazawa, seems unable to hide a sense of bewilderment.

One day, The Golden Demon, a work by Tokuda's teacher Koyo Ozaki, played by Yuki Tamaki, suddenly comes under encroachment. With help from Osamu Dazai, played by Ryo Hirano, and the others, they successfully dive into the book and prepare to finish off the Encroacher, but what awaits them?

The main Blu-ray contains the 112-minute performance. A bonus DVD provides 98 minutes of making-of footage, a cast roundtable discussion, a full-stage view of the opening and the curtain call from the final Osaka performance. A booklet is enclosed. The original limited first production also included an original sticker; this first-press extra is subject to the availability of the supplied copy.

The cast features Ryotaro Akazawa as Shusei Tokuda, Shogo Yamazaki as Kyoka Izumi, Koji Kominami as Haruo Sato, Shusuke Saito as Doppo Kunikida, Kaoru Masaki as Yasunari Kawabata, Neo Sawabe as Ton Satomi, Yuki Tamaki as Koyo Ozaki and Ryo Hirano as Osamu Dazai.

The ensemble includes Shoji Nakata, Naoki Machida, Akira Tada, Kei Yamaguchi, Kei Tanaka, Ryosuke Tanonaka, Yuki Hirasawa and Mashu Ankyu. Product specifications are subject to change.
