By the Grace of the Gods Anime

The hit novel becomes a television anime! At the time of this release, the story had surpassed 270 million views on Shosetsuka ni Naro, one of Japan's largest novel-submission websites with more than 700,000 works, and the series had more than 1.6 million copies in circulation. This is the first Blu-ray volume.

Ryoma Takebayashi, a thirty-nine-year-old unmarried office worker employed as a systems engineer at an exploitative company, meets an unexpectedly abrupt end alone in his apartment. Summoned to the heavenly realm, Ryoma is asked for assistance by the creator god, the goddess of love and the god of life, and is reincarnated in another world in the form of a child.

Beginning a leisurely life alone deep in a forest, eight-year-old Ryoma immerses himself in studying the slimes he has tamed with magic and enjoys his new life. Surrounded by kind people, every day is a pleasure in this relaxed fantasy about a slow life in another world.

The volume contains episodes one through four. Episode four includes audio commentary by Azusa Tadokoro, Yuki Kuwahara and Marika Kono. Video extras comprise all twelve series-introduction installments of The Slimes' Gossip Session, its next-episode previews for episodes one through four, the eyecatch collection for episodes one through four, the creditless opening and commercials.

The original first pressing included an illustrated sleeve by original illustrator Ririnra and a special booklet containing a new story by original author Roy. These first-press physical items depend on copy availability.
