By the Grace of the Gods Anime

The much-discussed novel series becomes a television anime. Published on Shosetsuka ni Naro, one of Japan's largest novel-sharing websites with more than seven hundred thousand works available to read, the story amassed two hundred and seventy million page views, while the series exceeded one million six hundred thousand copies in circulation at the time of this release.

Ryoma Takebayashi, a single thirty-nine-year-old salaryman working as a systems engineer for an exploitative company, meets an abrupt end alone in his apartment. Summoned to the heavenly realm, he is asked for help by the creator god, the goddess of love and the god of life, and is reincarnated in another world in the form of a child.

Eight-year-old Ryoma begins a peaceful life alone in a deep forest. Absorbed in studying the slimes he tames with magic, he enjoys his new life. Surrounded by kind people, every day is happy in this relaxed fantasy of a slow life in another world.

Volume two contains episodes five through eight. Video extras include the package-exclusive Slimes' Neighborhood Chat: The Trial of Ryoma Going Too Far, Slimes' Neighborhood Chat previews for episodes five through eight, all twenty four-panel videos about Ryoma and Tabuchi before his reincarnation, the eyecatch collection for episodes five through eight and the creditless ending. The original first pressing also included a sleeve illustrated by Ririnra and a special booklet with a new story by original author Roy; those physical first-press items depend on copy availability.
