This documentary follows Daisuke Takahashi from retirement to his return to competition and his renewed challenge at the Japanese national championships, revealing a new side of the skater. Japan's first male figure-skating Olympic medalist and first men's World Championship gold medalist, Takahashi forged a path while battling repeated injuries.

Retiring from competition in 2014 brought a feeling of liberation and a free, new life. Yet he felt something was missing and struggled to find a goal. In summer 2018, he shocked fans by announcing his return to competition. His initial aim was to make the final group at the national championships. What lay behind this decision? How did he bridge a four-year gap and refine the skill and spirit needed to take to the ice again?

At the Kinki Championships, his first event after returning, he led after the short program and thrilled fans across Japan. The Western Japan Championships earned him a place at the nationals, where he then took on the culmination of his comeback. The documentary follows his first season back, covering every competition and its backstage scenes, alongside the latest exclusive interview, in a special keepsake edition.

Extras include the complete short program from the 2018 Kinki Figure Skating Championships on October 7, 2018; the complete free-skating routine from the forty-fourth Western Japan Figure Skating Championships on November 4, 2018; the press conference after the national championships on December 24, 2018; and an exclusive interview recorded in May 2019.
