Kamen Rider TV Series

The long-awaited television-series remaster arrives! The manufacturer presents this as Kamen Rider's finest picture quality and definitive final video package.

The original Kamen Rider is the starting point of the series. From its memorable first episode on April 3, 1971 to its final broadcast on February 10, 1973, its 98 episodes remain the franchise's largest episode count. Fans have waited for years for this television series to receive a negative-scanned telecine 4K remaster, and that release has finally arrived!

The original 16 mm negatives were scanned and remastered in 4K. Restoration, including the removal of film specks and other defects, produced a high-resolution 4K HDR master. Making full use of the potential of the footage captured on 16 mm film, the image is as clear as if a veil had been lifted. From Kamen Rider's mask and explosive action to the landscapes of the period, viewers can enjoy every detail in what the manufacturer describes as the highest picture quality in the series' history and its definitive final physical-video release.

Box 1 contains episodes 1–26. Each format covers the same episodes: disc 1, episodes 1–7; disc 2, episodes 8–13; disc 3, episodes 14–19; disc 4, episodes 20–26. The set contains four 4K Ultra HD Blu-rays and four standard Blu-ray discs The standard Blu-rays use a 2K downconversion of the 4K remastered material; they duplicate the episodes and do not add another 26 episodes.

Original broadcast: April 1971 to February 1973 on the Mainichi Broadcasting System and NET network.

The jacket features newly drawn artwork by Yoshihito Sugawara. Video extra on standard Blu-ray disc 1: the 4K Remaster Box commercial.

Once supplies are exhausted, the product is sold in its regular specification. The booklet is not guaranteed with the current Amazon offer; CDJapan marks the exact edition's first-press bonus as no longer available.

An Ultra HD Blu-ray compatible player is required for the four UHD discs; they cannot be played on an ordinary Blu-ray player. The included standard Blu-rays provide a conventional Blu-ray playback option. A compatible 4K HDR television is recommended for full UHD picture quality.
