What new turn awaits the ordinary adventurer Kazuma in his life in another world? The beloved isekai comedy KonoSuba returns for its eagerly awaited third season, which began broadcasting in April 2024.

Following the television seasons of 2016 and 2017, the 2019 film Legend of Crimson became a major hit, earning more than seven hundred and thirty million yen at the Japanese box office. The official smartphone game Fantastic Days reached its fourth anniversary as figures and other merchandise continued to appear, and the Megumin-led spin-off An Explosion on This Wonderful World! became a television anime in April 2023. The globally loved series now continues Kazuma and his companions' adventures, with their familiar comic exchanges and the arrival of Princess Iris and her attendants Claire and Rain. Who will be giving Kazuma a hard time this time?

Kazuma Sato, a withdrawn young man who loves games, was supposed to meet an abrupt end in a traffic accident—or was it? By a strange turn of events, he is reincarnated in another world with the goddess Aqua in tow. His excitement at living out an adventurer's life in a world like an RPG does not last long.

He ends up forming a party with three companions whose considerable abilities are offset by remarkable shortcomings: the troublesome goddess Aqua, the magician Megumin with her extravagant adolescent fantasies, and the knight Darkness with her unstoppable imagination. Troubles pile up, from overwhelming debt and a trial for suspected subversion to battles against Demon King army officers and the occasional death.

After returning from the Crimson Demon village, the party receives a letter. Princess Iris wants to hear the adventures of those who defeated the Demon King's officers. Iris arrives in Axel with Claire and Rain, who serve as guards and tutors. Their meeting appears to end peacefully, until she asks, "Didn't you promise to tell me more adventure stories?"

The princess has taken a liking to Kazuma. When he opens his eyes, he finds himself in the royal capital. As he stays at Iris' request, he develops a taste for luxurious castle life and decides to remain. At the same time, however, a chivalrous thief is secretly active in the capital.
