Mawaru Penguindrum Blu-ray RE:Box Limited Period Edition

Ten years after the television anime Mawaru Penguindrum, this anniversary Blu-ray box brings together all twenty-four episodes at a more accessible price. With some specifications changed from the 2015 box, it welcomes both longtime supporters and viewers who have discovered a new interest in the series.

This is a story about brothers and a sister, penguins that suddenly appear, and this world's past and future. Three children live in the Takakura household. Twin brothers Kanba and Shoma live modestly but happily with their frail younger sister Himari, who is often hospitalized. One day, when she is feeling well, the siblings decide to visit an aquarium. Excited by their first outing together in a long time, Himari slips out of her brothers' sight.

They find her collapsed in a crowd. At the hospital, they are told there is nothing more that can be done. As the brothers grieve before her lifeless body, Himari suddenly sits up wearing the penguin hat she bought at the aquarium. She declares: I have decided to extend this girl's life a little. If you want her to remain alive, obtain the Penguindrum!
