Save the square Earth that has been torn apart!

A new battlefield appears in the EDF series, and its setting is a square Earth.

This is a parallel world made entirely of digital voxels—cubes. In this world, even an Earth that is round elsewhere is naturally square. But that peaceful square Earth has broken into pieces, creating an enormous crisis.

Whether round or square, Earth is still Earth. To restore the peaceful square world, our EDF launches an emergency operation across world lines.

The Earth Defense Force enters a voxel world

The EDF series, previously set in photorealistic worlds, makes a bold new appearance in a voxel world.

Even players who shudder at gigantic realistic insects or find some of the more gruesome depictions difficult can now experience the exhilaration of defeating huge hordes of enemies in EDF.

Create your own EDF force

EDF members are fighting alone in different countries across the shattered world.

Rescue and gather these members to build your own Earth Defense Force.

For each mission, deploy a team of four from the members you have collected.

Switch between your team members and use their individual special abilities to overcome different situations on the battlefield.

Soldier classes from across EDF history become characters

Classes from the first Earth Defense Force through Earth Defense Force 5—the latest numbered entry at this game's original release—as well as the spin-off games return as voxel soldiers.

The collection brings together numerous soldiers, weapons and pieces of military equipment that fought in earlier games.

Enemy characters from previous entries also join the battle. Their voxel designs still convey their enormous scale when they appear.

Long-time series players can enjoy familiar sights, while newcomers can discover an introduction to the earlier games. The experience is designed for a broad range of players.
