PlayStation 4 Kunio-kun: The World Classics Collection

Can you master all 18 titles?

This collection brings together 11 Japanese Famicom Kunio-kun titles, four overseas NES versions of Kunio-kun games and three overseas Double Dragon titles from Technos Japan. Nostalgic classics cross the ocean to come together in one collection.

From fighting and sports to action RPGs, these distinctive action games show the enormous appeal of Kunio-kun.

11 Japanese classics

The Kunio-kun series has been loved for more than 30 years. These are action games where even sports are no place for strict rules: punches, kicks and special moves are all part of the fun.

The Japanese classics included are Nekketsu Renegade Kunio-kun; Nekketsu High School Dodgeball Club; Downtown Nekketsu Story; Nekketsu High School Dodgeball Club Soccer Story; Downtown Nekketsu March Super-Awesome Field Day!; Downtown Special Kunio-kun's Historical Period Drama!; Go-Go! Nekketsu Hockey Club Slip-and-Slide Madness; Surprise! Nekketsu New Records! The Distant Gold Medal; Nekketsu Fighting Legend; Kunio-kun's Nekketsu Soccer League; and Nekketsu! Street Basketball All-Out Dunk Heroes.

Four overseas Kunio-kun games

The action moves overseas. Based on the Japanese Kunio-kun games, these versions feature different characters and settings and were not released in Japan.

The four overseas titles are Renegade, Super Dodge Ball, River City Ransom and Crash 'n the Boys Street Challenge.

Three overseas Double Dragon games

Enjoy classic side-scrolling beat-'em-ups created by Technos Japan, the company that gave birth to the Kunio-kun series. These overseas versions were not released in Japan, and their game balance and stories differ slightly from their Japanese counterparts.

The three Double Dragon titles are Double Dragon, Double Dragon II: The Revenge and Double Dragon III: The Sacred Stones.

Chaotic action with friends online

Online play is available for every included title. Features you could previously enjoy offline can now be played online, letting you battle friends even when you are far apart. Up to four players can play together, depending on the title.

There is more to work toward, too: complete missions to earn nicknames and avatar parts, then show off your own avatar in online play. More than 500 avatar parts and more than 800 words are available.

Enjoy the original games and improved versions

Discovering all sorts of tricks and exploits is part of the fun of Kunio-kun. Every game includes its original version, so you can enjoy it as it was. Most titles also include a Quality Up version that makes play more accessible.

Bugs and game balance have been adjusted, and flickering and slowdown have been greatly reduced for a smoother playing experience.
