XV arrives to surpass everything that came before it: the series' greatest masterpiece.

Since its birth in 1994, The King of Fighters (KOF) fighting-game series has thrilled the world with its appealing characters and distinctive game systems.

Six years after KOF XIV, KOF XV was created with the ambition of becoming the series' greatest entry, surpassing its predecessor in graphics, systems and online play.

A dream match featuring 39 fighters

A total of 39 characters enters the fray: popular fighters from earlier entries, eagerly awaited returning characters and characters who hold the key to the story. At launch, this was one of the largest rosters among recent new fighting games.

The series' past protagonists gather alongside new and returning characters in the hottest dream match in KOF history.

The four protagonists from the Orochi, NESTS and Ash story arcs, and the new KOF chapter that began with KOF XIV, come together for the first time.

The story mode continues that new chapter from KOF XIV. The unexpectedly opened KOF fighting tournament provides the stage for the protagonists of the series' earlier arcs, and the story at last approaches its climax.

The original release presentation also announced six additional DLC characters forming two teams. This describes separately released additional content; it is not included with the standard physical Used game.

The culmination of the series' battle systems

The traditional three-on-three team battle returns. Form a team of three fighters, with an opening fighter, a second fighter and an anchor, and enjoy highly strategic battles.

The new SHATTER STRIKE system lets you defend against attacks and launch a counterattack. The battle system delivers an unprecedented sense of speed and exhilaration.

Evolved MAX Mode and MAX Mode (Quick), RUSH for easily performing combos, and a variety of special moves that heighten the excitement all remain part of the action.

Comfortable online battles and varied match options

Online battles use rollback netcode to reduce lag.

A wide selection of modes includes ONLINE TRAINING, RANKED MATCH, CASUAL MATCH and ROOM MATCH, offering different ways to play.

The new DRAFT VS mode has you and your opponent compete over which characters to select, adding another way to enjoy matches.

More ways to enjoy KOF

DJ STATION features more than 300 tracks from popular SNK games, with a particular focus on the KOF series. Customize the music played during battles with your favorite tracks.

The gallery lets you enjoy movies and character voices, together with a special movie directed by the internationally popular animator Masami Obari.

PlayStation 5 compatibility

Cross-play between PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 is supported, as is a free upgrade from the PlayStation 4 version to the PlayStation 5 version.

Upgrading the physical PlayStation 4 version requires a PlayStation 5 console equipped with a disc drive.

Original physical first-print contents

The original first-print package included a KOF XV postcard and a reversible cover jacket. The original promotional illustrations were indicative, and their contents and specifications were subject to change.

The presence and condition of the original postcard and reversible cover jacket depend on the individual Used copy.
