The Daily Life of a Part-Time Torturer Vol. 2 Blu-ray

In a world where killing and torture are legal, Spiritus stands out as an unusually considerate employer whose clients target only wrongdoers. Its four part-time workers settle into a surprisingly comfortable daily routine. Sero is the capable senior who gets along with everyone, while Siu is an admired veteran who has been with the company from the beginning. Their new colleagues are Mike, a cheerful and determined young worker, and Hugh, a serious, kindhearted university student learning to deal with other people.

Between assignments, this unlikely team meets an assortment of helpful specialists, from disposal and cleaning contractors to an assassin. The contrast between their grim profession and relaxed workplace relationships drives Yawora Tsugumi's dark comedy. Fumitoshi Oizaki directs the Diomedea adaptation, with series composition by Hitomi Amamiya, character designs by Sakae Shibuya and music by Kenji Fujisawa. Shunichi Toki, Takuma Terashima, Takuma Nagatsuka and Yohei Azakami voice the four colleagues, joined by Kisho Taniyama and Rikuya Yasuda.

The standard-edition second volume contains episodes 5-8. Video extras comprise the credit-free ending and character promotional videos for Mike and Hugh.
