The Prince of Tennis Anime

Toward a world still unseen. Ryoma and his teammates' battles finally take them onto the world stage! The U-17 WORLD CUP arc serialized in Jump SQ. receives a television anime adaptation. Familiar favourites are joined by distinctive new characters and voice actors, including Chardard, voiced by Natsuki Hanae.

Story: Ryoma Echizen participates in the Japanese U-17 national team's training camp, but is ordered to leave for allegedly breaking its rules. After departing, he accepts his older brother Ryoga Echizen's invitation to enter the U-17 WORLD CUP as a member of the United States team. Tezuka, who has gone to Germany to become a professional, and Ryoma, now representing the United States, become opponents of the Japanese national team as the U-17 WORLD CUP begins.

All thirteen episodes: 1. Ryoma Echizen, U.S. Representative; 2. The Pre-World Cup Begins!; 3. The Future One Instant Ahead; 4. Prince vs. Prince; 5. An Upset; 6. A Battle Entirely Away from Home; 7. The King of Chess; 8. That Resolve... Those Conditions; 9. Feelings for Teammates; 10. Beyond the Bible; 11. The Worst Doubles Pair; 12. Prince of Ace; 13. Samurai vs. Knight.

The bonus disc includes an eyecatch illustration gallery with newly recorded voices. Original conversations accompany the illustrations from the episodes: entertaining exchanges between the junior high students at each school cheering for Japan, shown after the commercial breaks, are joined by Ryoma's feelings from the pre-commercial eyecatches, for fourteen pieces in total. Episode 1, Ryoma Echizen, U.S. Representative, includes commentary by Hiroki Takahashi, Naru Kawamoto and Masaya Onosaka, followed by additional talk. The commentary segment presented on the official Tenicha YouTube channel is included as broadcast, together with the amusing discussion recorded after streaming ended. Also included are a creditless opening and ending, promotional trailers, a trailer introducing the high school members of Japan's U-17 team, and trailers introducing the national teams.

Physical inclusions and packaging: an original sticker using an ending-animation image; a 24-page booklet; a storage box with newly drawn illustrations; and an inner jacket with newly drawn illustrations.

The original announcement also included a ticket presale lottery application coupon for Tenipuri Festa 2023 U-17 WORLD CUP, held June 3–4, 2023 at Yokohama Arena.
