World Trigger Anime

To celebrate the start of World Trigger’s second season, all seventy-three episodes of season one arrive across three Blu-ray volumes for continuous viewing. Volume one contains twenty-one episodes: the Encounter Arc, episodes one through six; the Black Trigger Retrieval Arc, episodes seven through sixteen; and the Border Enlistment Arc, episodes seventeen through twenty-one.

The original is Daisuke Ashihara's popular science-fiction action manga, which moved from Weekly Shonen Jump to Jump SQ., both published by Shueisha. It depicts the struggle between invaders from another world, known as Neighbors, and Border, the defense organization protecting the threatened city. Revisit the first season to enjoy the second even more. The volume follows the meeting of Border member Osamu and the mysterious transfer student Yuma, through the formation of their team with Osamu’s childhood friend Chika.

Mikado City has a population of 280,000. One day, a gateway to another world opens there, and interdimensional invaders known as Neighbors ravage the area. The Border Defense Agency suddenly appears, repels them and quickly constructs a huge base and defense system. Four years later, a transfer student named Yuma Kuga arrives at the junior high school attended by Border member Osamu Mikumo. Carrying a Trigger, a device only Border members are allowed to possess, Yuma tells Osamu that he comes from beyond the gate and is what they call a Neighbor. The story of Yuma and Osamu begins.

The cast features Tomo Muranaka as Yuma Kuga, Yuki Kaji as Osamu Mikumo, Nao Tamura as Chika Amatori, Yuichi Nakamura as Yuichi Jin and Hideyuki Tanaka as Replica, alongside other cast members. A booklet was supplied with the original first pressing and is specific to first-press copies.
