Afternoon KC The Darwin Incident Vol. 11 is an official Japanese paper manga volume by Shun Umezawa, published by Kodansha under the Afternoon KC label.

The acclaimed series whose TV anime is broadcasting and streaming! Created by the biologist Dr. Grossman, Charlie is a 'humanzee' who is half human and half chimpanzee. After ten years of living in isolation, he enters high school, but attracts the attention of the ALA, a terrorist group that champions 'animal liberation'. Charlie pursues the ALA after it kidnaps Lucy, the friend he made at school, infiltrates its hideout and rescues her. The ALA seemed to have been destroyed... but a central figure in the organization has escaped from prison! And something is wrong with the Lucy he supposedly rescued... She is conscious, but seems almost to have 'lost her soul'. The delirious words Lucy leaves behind are 'the yellow room', 'Eva', 'falling away', 'into Dr. Grossman's consciousness'...? An acclaimed work that has earned numerous honors, including the Manga Taisho 2022 Grand Prize, tenth place in the men's category of Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2022 (Takarajimasha), and an Excellence Award in the Manga Division of the 25th Japan Media Arts Festival!
