Aki Eats with Haru: Second Helping! Blu-ray

May the excitement of eating together last forever. The live-action film depicting the delicious daily lives of two inseparable young men returns! They are busy hunting for jobs, with little of university life remaining. Will their precious, heartwarming days end when they graduate?

This second live-action film adapts the food-and-Boys-Love manga Aki Eats with Haru. University students Aki and Haru are so close that those around them describe them as having zero distance between them. Their gentle everyday life sharing a warm house, and recipes anyone can easily make deliciously, won readers' hearts and appetites.

High-school classmates Junta Akiyoshi, known as Aki, and Harutsugu Fujishiro, known as Haru, entered different universities but share a house in a quiet residential neighborhood. Now in their fourth year, they are looking for work. Haru decides to pursue photography and receives an offer from a photography studio, while Aki receives one from an interior-goods company. They invite Yoneyama, Mugita, Azusa and Yukino to a takoyaki-pie party celebrating their jobs. That night, Aki receives an email saying his workplace will be in Osaka. Only the short time until graduation remains for them to live together. Loneliness and uncertainty create a strangely distant atmosphere between them.

One day, Haru's sister Rikka visits to announce her marriage. Hearing how she decided to marry, Aki realizes his feelings for Haru are more than friendship. Yet he resolves not to tell Haru about them. Meanwhile, since hearing that Aki's job is in Osaka, Haru has been distracted. Will they leave the house they have shared for four years, ending their peaceful, happy life together? What future awaits Aki and Haru as they enter working life?

The Blu-ray includes the main feature andbonus footage: the long-version making-of, ASMR videos, stage-greeting footage, trailer and end-credit video. The film opened in Japan on June 14, 2024.
