Akiba Maid War Animation

Cute maids meet brutal violence in Akiba Maid War, the original television anime from Cygames and P.A.WORKS. Set in Akihabara in 1999, it follows the staff of the Tontokoton maid café through their daily working struggles. First broadcast in October 2022 and adapted for the stage in September 2023, the series returns in an accessible complete-series box bringing together all twelve episodes and the drama and song CDs from the original releases.

Spring, 1999. A girl arrives in Akihabara dreaming of becoming a cute maid. At the end of the century, Akiba is overflowing with maids of every kind, and Tontokoton—better known as the Pigsty—is open for another bustling day. The other new recruit is wildly unconventional, sending everything into frantic chaos. Favourite maids, trainers and strange Akiba life-forms join the commotion as a red bat swings with full force. This wholehearted tale of working maid life welcomes every master and lady back to the café: “We await your return—oink!”

The windowed slipcase houses a new inner-jacket illustration by character designer Manabu Nii. Three bonus CDs collect two special audio dramas and four songs, including Nagomi Wahira’s version of the series lullaby. Video extras include creditless opening and ending sequences, online episode previews and promotional videos. The episodes, bonus CDs and video extras reproduce the content of the previously released volumes one to three.
