Aoharu Railway Stage & Musicals

Aoharu Railway 6: Happy Rail Daisakusen brings the popular railway-personification comic back to the musical stage, following the series’ Metro production. Its railway entertainment combines song, dance and surreal humour.

The original comic by Aoharu has attracted devoted fans since its first collected volume appeared in 2009. Beginning with its popularity at Comic Market, the railway-trivia comedy travelled through Comic Flapper, ComicWalker and Monthly Comic Gene before reaching COMIC BRIDGE online, with drama CDs and other adaptations expanding its world.

When the first musical opened in November 2015, it caught the attention of fans of the original comic and the wider 2.5D musical scene. This production follows nine previous stage adaptations and was performed in Tokyo and Hyogo in July 2024.

The standard edition includes the stage performance and full-stage views of six song sequences. A second disc presents backstage footage, highlights from the Hyogo final performance and scenes featuring the production’s guest appearances. A booklet is included.
