Space Battleship Yamato Anime

Resistance in the fiftieth year. Continuing the story of resistance from Space Battleship Yamato 2205, Yamato now begins a new voyage across time and space. Be Forever Yamato (1980) and Space Battleship Yamato III (1980) receive a fresh interpretation, restructured as a 26-episode series. The latest installment in Japan's celebrated science-fiction anime franchise weighs anchor.

Beyond the spacetime junction, the world reached by Space Battleship Yamato is not the future, but Tokyo in 2026. This is Earth long before the war against Gamilas, with no trace of the planet bombs that once devastated it. If Yamato heads for Gamilas in this era, the future can be changed. The same temptation to alter history that drives Dezarium now stands before Ryusuke Domon. The future in which humanity becomes Dezarium, and even the history of war itself, might disappear. Yamato and its crew would disappear too. Even so, peace would remain. As the desire to change tragedy takes hold, the red-eyed Sasha watches Yamato transform into black. What awaits at the end of its wake?

This sixth volume contains four episodes. Its video extras include the Chapter 5 Yamato Talk, featuring Harutoshi Fukui, Naomichi Yamato, Hideki Oka, Tomohiro Yoshida and Eriko Nakamura; the story recap screened before the main feature; the Chapter 6 teaser and theatrical trailer; and Be Forever Yamato REBEL 3199 Today's Science Beginners, installments 13-15. Audio commentaries accompany two episodes. A special archive booklet is enclosed, and the jacket features a new illustration by Nobuteru Yuki.

This is the standard edition; factory first-press gifts are not guaranteed.
