To save Azure's life, Nina, the girl with lapis-lazuli eyes, goes to the powerful nation of Galgada as a false bride. She has grown closer to Prince Sett, who has never known love, and just as they decide to live together, Azure appears as an envoy from Fortna. Her lady-in-waiting Hikami's attempt to poison Sett leads to Nina's imprisonment in Griffigeld. The warden tries to take her life, but Azure rescues her and she escapes the danger. Meanwhile, having learned of Nina's deception, Sett attacks her in an effort to put an end to everything. Realizing the depth of his despair and her own wrongdoing, Nina tries to fulfill her promise to Sett, but the price is something she never expected. What future awaits Nina, Azure and Sett beyond the thorns of love? Volume 9 of this royal-court fantasy!
