This bonus-packed Special Edition of Blue Orchestra, based on Makoto Akui's manga and broadcast on NHK E in 2023, collects all 24 episodes on four Blu-rays.

The edition comes in a deluxe digipack and a beautiful sleeve case. A newly drawn original illustration features the four main characters: protagonist Hajime Aono, a former prodigy who stopped playing violin for a particular reason; Nao Saeki, a gifted violinist who won the junior-high competition Aono stopped entering; Ritsuko Akine, a bright girl with a strong sense of justice who enthusiastically studies violin as a beginner; and Haru Kozakura, a quiet girl who has studied violin since childhood.

The enclosed full-color booklet is another highlight. Animation drawings, character profiles, art boards and photographs of memorable scenes make it essential reading for fans. A bonus CD contains eight tracks performed by the Senzoku Gakuen Philharmonic Orchestra, including Bizet's Carmen Prelude and Dvorak's New World Symphony, as performed by Umimaku High School's orchestra club at its regular concert.

Disc 1 contains episodes 1–6: Hajime Aono, Ritsuko Akine, Umimaku High School Orchestra Club, Nao Saeki, So Harada and A Rainy Day. Disc 2 contains episodes 7–12: Haru Kozakura, Air on the G String, Upperclassmen, Beginners and Experienced Players, The Eve of the Decisive Battle and Audition. Disc 3 contains episodes 13–18: Your Own Tone, Meeting Halfway, True Feelings, Worry, Another True Feeling and The Truth. Disc 4 contains episodes 19–24: As Yourself, A Place to Belong in Summer, Humoresque, Words to Send You Off, The Regular Concert and From the New World.

The bonus CD's first four tracks are Suppe's Light Cavalry Overture in its anime version, Bizet's Carmen Prelude, the Miniature Overture from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite and its Waltz of the Flowers. Tracks 5–8 present all four movements of Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 in E minor, Op. 95, From the New World. Gyouchi Yoshida conducts the Senzoku Gakuen Philharmonic Orchestra.

The region-free edition contains four Blu-rays with 600 minutes of anime and the bonus CD, with Japanese Linear PCM stereo audio and no subtitles.
