A startling story depicts the what-if lives of sworn enemies Atsushi Nakajima and Ryunosuke Akutagawa. The Bungo Stray Dogs series' first live-action film finally arrives on Blu-ray.

Yokohama is a chaotic city crowded with people who possess supernatural abilities. Ryunosuke Akutagawa, an orphan living in the slums, loses his companions when outlaws attack. That is the day the boy called a heartless dog first carries hatred in his eyes.

A man dressed in black appears, mocks Akutagawa as he is driven toward revenge, and takes away his younger sister Gin, leaving behind the words that he will choose the other boy as his subordinate after all.

Four years later, Akutagawa wanders by a river on the verge of starvation. Sakunosuke Oda of the Armed Detective Agency takes him in, and Akutagawa begins working there on Oda's recommendation.

Then, one rainy day, a boy who happens to sit beside him at a cafe counter says he has come as a messenger to the Armed Detective Agency. This is Atsushi Nakajima, feared as the Port Mafia's White Reaper, who kills his enemies without changing his expression.

Atsushi reveres the boss who saved him from hell and has sworn to act as ordered. Unaware of this, Akutagawa receives an envelope containing a photograph of Gin, whose whereabouts he has continued to seek.

The fourth stage has finally arrived. Everything is part of the plan devised by Osamu Dazai, the Port Mafia boss cloaked in darkness. What does the leader of an organization whose armed strength now rivals a nation truly seek? What awaits the boys beyond their encounter?

The two-disc Blu-ray edition contains the 118-minute film and approximately 75 minutes of making-of material and other video extras. A special case and digipak are included, together with a deluxe booklet shaped like a paperback book, containing the film's screenplay and other material.
