Crayon Shin-chan Anime

Save the world with a crayon. The twenty-eighth Crayon Shin-chan film is a gloriously silly adventure: an unprecedented doodle action epic sparked by crayons.

Rakuga Kingdom floats in the sky, powered by free-spirited doodling. But now, short of energy, it is on the verge of destruction. The kingdom's army begins an invasion of Kasukabe on the ground, determined to force its inhabitants to draw.

Meanwhile, the hero granted the kingdom's secret treasure, the Miracle Crayon that brings drawings to life, turns out to be the unbelievably carefree five-year-old Shinnosuke Nohara. Shinnosuke and the doodles he creates, the almost four heroes, set out to reclaim Kasukabe.

Along the way, they discover that doodles have a weakness: they dissolve when wet. Above them, rain clouds look ready to burst at any moment. Will laughter or tears await at the end of their encounters and adventures? Save the world, crayon hero Shinnosuke.

The Blu-ray contains the film and ten minutes of video extras: the creditless clay-animation ending, a special new-film announcement, the film teaser, theatrical trailer, television spots and a still-image design-material collection. An eight-page explanatory booklet is enclosed.

The cast features Yumiko Kobayashi as Shinnosuke, Miki Narahashi as Misae, Toshiyuki Morikawa as Hiroshi, Satomi Korogi as Himawari, Mari Mashiba as Shiro and Kazama, Tamao Hayashi as Nene, Teiyu Ichiryusai as Masao, Chie Sato as Bo, Hiroshi Kamiya as Buriburizaemon, Mina Tominaga as Brief, Shizuka Ito as Fake Nanako, Tomoyo Kurosawa as Yuma, Joji Nakata as Rakugaking, Hiroaki Hirata as the Court Painter, Tessho Genda as the Drill Sergeant, Yuji Mitsuya as the Magician, Nobuo Tobita as the older Food Minister, Kikuko Inoue as the Stone Age Person, Jurota Kosugi as the Energy Minister, Junichi Suwabe as the Roller Soldier, Mamiko Noto as Yuma's mother and Takafumi Ikeda as the younger Food Minister. Guest voices include Yuki Yamada as the Defense Minister, Ringo-chan as Apple, Strawberry and Melon, and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu as the Princess and the film's doodle ambassador.
