Date A Live Anime

Spirits are girls who manifest from a neighboring world, accompanied by unprecedented disasters called spatial quakes. Their overwhelming powers are so great that they are called calamities, leaving humanity constantly struggling to respond.

Humanity has two possible ways to confront them: eliminate the Spirits by force, or date them and make them fall in love. Shido Itsuka has an unusual ability: by kissing a Spirit whose affection has reached its maximum, he can seal her spiritual power and turn it into his own strength.

He saves the Spirits one after another by suppressing the excessive power that draws them into a spiral of conflict, and sometimes by using that power to protect them.

This regular-edition first box contains episodes one through six of Date A Live IV. It uses a box newly illustrated by original illustrator Tsunako and a digipak newly illustrated by character designer Naoto Nakamura. Included are the new novel Nia Repair by original author Koshi Tachibana, with a new cover by Tsunako, and a special booklet. Video extras comprise creditless opening and ending sequences and commercials.

The cast features Nobunaga Shimazaki as Shido Itsuka, Marina Inoue as Tohka Yatogami, Misuzu Togashi as Origami Tobiichi, Ayana Taketatsu as Kotori Itsuka, Iori Nomizu as Yoshino, Asami Sanada as Kurumi Tokisaki, Maaya Uchida as Kaguya Yamai, Sarah Emi Bridcutt as Yuzuru Yamai, Minori Chihara as Miku Izayoi, Ayumi Mano as Natsumi, Hitomi Nabatame as Nia Honjo and Akari Kageyama as Mukuro Hoshimiya.
