Do It Yourself!! Animation

DIY means doing it yourself—making or repairing furniture with your own hands, as the Kōjien dictionary explains. Do It Yourself!! is an original animation about high-school girls taking their first steps toward shaping the future. They think, devise solutions, struggle and fail, yet refuse to give up as they complete furniture, friendships and even their own lives with their own hands.

Seeing Jobko in Serufu’s room leaves Purin too unsettled to stay away. She visits Serufu’s house and is introduced to the young genius. Fascinated by Jobko, Purin gets caught up in a lively conversation about cutting-edge engineering. The next morning, Purin wakes in her own room to find Jobko there, announcing that she intends to live with her.

Volume 2 contains steps 4–6 and an episode 6 audio commentary. Its special report follows Konomi Inagaki, the voice of Serufu, as she tries flying a giant kite at Sanjo’s kite battle and explores the city that inspired the series.

The permanent jacket is newly illustrated by Yusuke Matsuo and reverses to a coloring design, so you can enjoy the artwork in your own favorite colors. A special booklet is also a permanent inclusion. The announced first-press sleeve and character stencil sheet are available only while supplies last and are not guaranteed. Featuring character and logo shapes, the stencil can be used on everyday objects, furniture or fabric to create original items that are unique in the world.
