Do It Yourself!! Animation

DIY means doing it yourself—making or repairing furniture with your own hands, as the Kōjien dictionary explains. Do It Yourself!! is an original animation about high-school girls taking their first steps toward shaping the future. They think, devise solutions, struggle and fail, yet refuse to give up as they complete furniture, friendships and even their own lives with their own hands.

The rainy season brings high humidity and a succession of damp, gloomy days. With no air conditioning in the DIY clubroom, Serufu and her friends struggle to get their work done. Jobko, experiencing Japan’s rainy season for the first time after coming from America, is particularly irritable. Kurei suggests working at her house, where there is both air conditioning and space for their projects.

Volume 3 contains steps 7–9. Its supplementary programme includes an episode 9 audio commentary and the first DIY experience video, in which Swallow-sensei teaches practical DIY skills. The permanent jacket is newly illustrated by Yusuke Matsuo and reverses to a coloring design, allowing you to enjoy the artwork in your own favorite colors. A special booklet is also a permanent inclusion.

The announced first-press sleeve and character stencil sheet are available only while supplies last and are not guaranteed. The stencil shapes feature characters and logos, ready to print onto everyday objects, furniture or fabric to make original items that are unique in the world.
