Dogengers High School Special Edition Blu-ray
TV ドゲンジャーズ～ハイスクール～ 特装版
An ordinary girl’s extraordinary story. Dogengers, the tokusatsu series born in Fukuoka and bringing together its real local heroes, returns for a third season. This time an average high-school student takes center stage. Alongside the Dogengers’ own adventures, the school story follows her transformation into the new hero MAKO and her growth through the people she meets.
With numerous staff members drawn from tokusatsu productions, the locally rooted series has found an audience across Japan. Crowdfunding to reimburse the cost of hero suits and create spin-offs surpassed seventy-four million yen, drawing support beyond Kyushu from women and tokusatsu fans alike. This special edition features a slipcase with newly drawn, dramatic illustrations of the season’s heroes and villains.
In this town, heroes and villains are an entirely ordinary part of daily life. Heroes walk down the street; even a bank robbery by a villain barely causes surprise. Yet one girl sees them differently: Mako Yamada, a third-year student at Taihaku High School. Born at a perfectly average size, she scores average marks and gets average results in fitness tests. She likes her noodles extra firm and kind people are her type. In almost every way she is an exceptionally ordinary girl—but to her, the heroes and villains look special.
The edition collects all twelve episodes and includes the Ordinary Days: Special Edition mini photo book. Supplementary material features the Return of Heshikiri Hasebe spin-off, behind-the-scenes footage from that production, and making-of and previously unreleased footage from Dogengers High School.
