Thousands of years after a mysterious phenomenon petrifies all of humanity in an instant, Senku—a born scientist with an extraordinary mind—awakens. Faced with a Stone World where civilisation has vanished, he resolves to reclaim the world through science. Together with friends including his powerful childhood companion Taiju Oki, who revives around the same time, he builds civilisation again from nothing.

To save Tsukasa, who has been placed in cold sleep, Senku and his companions challenge the mastermind behind humanity’s petrification. They recruit the brilliantly skilled captain Ryusui for their voyage and take to the skies in a hot-air balloon to search for treasure.

As they look for oil to fuel their ship, the group uses information gathered from the air to map the area around the Kingdom of Science. When Senku confronts the villagers’ food shortage, he starts a new undertaking with Taiju and the others. After thousands of years since humanity was turned to stone by a mysterious light, they finally push towards a new world no human has explored.

Extras include audio commentary on a late-season episode, opening and ending sequences without credits, and a collection of promotional videos, television commercials and web-exclusive previews.
