Fruits Basket Animation

The final chapter begins. With original creator Natsuki Takaya overseeing the adaptation, Fruits Basket The Final brings the complete original story towards its conclusion. This opening volume contains episodes 1–4 and includes new original Fruits Basket manga drawn by Takaya.

After losing her mother, Tohru lives alone in a tent. Discovering that she has pitched it on the distinguished Soma family’s land leads her to share a home with Yuki and Kyo Soma. Yet the family has been bound for centuries by a terrible curse. As Tohru grows closer to Yuki, Kyo and the other Somas, she desperately searches for a way to break it, without finding a single clear lead.

She is then left speechless by the family’s greatest secret: its head, Akito, is a woman. The bond connecting Akito, the family’s “God,” to the twelve zodiac members is a fragile, fleeting spiral of sorrow. But no banquet lasts forever. Beyond the first memory and the first promise that everyone has forgotten, what awaits Yuki, Kyo and Tohru?

The disc includes the opening “Pleasure” by WARPs UP without credits, alongside both Type A and Type B versions of the ending “Haru Urara” by GENIC. An eight-page original manga booklet and an eight-page special booklet are included. First-press copies use a special sleeve and digipak while supplies last; that first-press packaging is not guaranteed.
