Ghost in the Shell Animation

Ghost in the Shell, a landmark of near-future science fiction, explores the possibilities of the year 2045. The limited Blu-ray BOX presents the first season. Sustainable war gives rise to a new ruling species, the post-humans. Public Security Section 9, led by Motoko Kusanagi and known as Ghost in the Shell, is organised once again.

It is 2045. The world has entered a planned and sustainable form of warfare known as sustainable war, yet decline has not progressed so far that people feel the threat of humanity's extinction by artificial intelligence in their daily lives. Motoko Kusanagi, a fully prosthetic cyborg, and the other former members of Public Security Section 9 have been plying their skills as mercenaries when mysterious beings called post-humans appear before them. Amid the swirling plots of the great powers, Ghost in the Shell is formed anew.

Making-of and interview footage explores the production, accompanied by a CG breakdown and a special Netflix anime programme. The release also includes the opening and ending without credits, teasers, trailers and television commercials. The Official Log Book and Official Art Book accompany a newly illustrated jacket and storage box.
