Heaven's Design Team Animation

First came light, water and the land. Then God planned to create the creatures and animals that would live there—but decided it was too much trouble and outsourced the job! The animals on Earth are the work of the designers at Heaven’s Design Company.

Why does a creature look the way it does? Why does it live that way? Behind every animal’s creation lies the struggle and delight of designers and engineers using inventive ideas to meet their client God’s unreasonable requests. Praised for being both entertaining and informative, this workplace comedy about creating living things became an anime in 2021.

The first of six volumes contains episodes 1 and 2. Extras include Part 1 of the December 13, 2020 advance-screening event digest, Part 1 of the special National Museum of Nature and Science collections tour, clean opening and ending videos, a collection of promotional videos, commercials and lyric music videos, and commentary on episode 1 from the voices of Shimoda and Ueda. An eight-page special booklet is included.

First-press copies may also come with a sleeve featuring new artwork, eight special karuta cards supervised by the original creator and animal stickers. These extras are available only while first-press supplies last and are not guaranteed.
