Slipping away from preparations for the school festival, he enters the observatory, now used as a storeroom, and meets Isaki Magari, who also has trouble sleeping. The two begin sharing a secret place.

A young production team adapts the work of Makoto Ojiro, a leading voice in coming-of-age manga. Your own sleepless nights are sure to have meaning, too. Volume 1 contains episodes 1–5, with promotional videos 1–3, a collection of commercials and staff commentary.

The first-press features are an outer case with newly drawn anime artwork, a digipak newly illustrated by Ojiro, a leaflet with a newly drawn short manga by Ojiro, and a thirty-two-page special booklet containing character and story introductions, staff interviews, production materials and designs. A short drama CD and a memorial photo were also announced. These physical extras are available only while supplies last and are not guaranteed.
